Muscle and fitness must go hand in hand when you are working towards establishing or maintaining health living goals. And to gain increased muscle and fitness, you must pay attention to how you work out and what you put into your body.
As part of any fitness routine, aerobic exercise is important to increase your cardiovascular capacity, increase your energy, relieve stress, and burn calories. And while aerobic exercise is a good way to keep your muscles healthy, to increase muscle and fitness you need to incorporate weight bearing exercises into your exercise or fitness routine. Weight bearing exercises can easily be done at a gym, but can also be done at home with little or no special equipment. If you don’t have time to go to the gym, try doing some push ups or sit ups to strength your muscles and fitness in your arms and abs.
When focusing on muscle fitness by doing weight bearing exercises, remember that you don’t have to over do it to get the benefits of this type of exercise. Choose a weight that is comfortable for you and then do a higher number of repetitions of the exercise you choose. A weight that is comfortable combined with high repetitions can serve to increase lean muscle mass and improve the overall tone and fitness of your physique.
Also remember to provide you body with the vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients it needs to build and repair muscles. This will ensure that you reach your long-term muscle and fitness goals.
